Grades 3 and 4 mark an important stage in a child’s development—and at Nkhwazi Primary School, our Middle School provides the perfect environment for learners to grow more independent while still receiving the individual attention they need to thrive.

Developing Independence and Confidence

At this stage, children begin to develop a clearer sense of self, deeper friendships, and a greater capacity for complex thinking. Our curriculum is designed to stretch their abilities in exciting ways: encouraging critical thinking, structured inquiry, and collaborative learning across subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Lessons are enriched with music, art, physical education, and computer studies to promote a well-rounded educational experience.

Laying Strong Academic Foundations

Teachers guide students through the transition from learning-to-read to reading-to-learn, while also helping them develop good study habits, personal organization, and resilience. Through group projects, discussions, and hands-on learning, students are taught how to express their ideas clearly and listen respectfully to others.

Preparing for Upper School Success

The Middle School fosters a balance between academic challenge and emotional support, helping children gain confidence as they prepare to take on more advanced work in the Upper School
