Voices That Persuade and Inspire

This term’s Upper School Debate Challenge gives learners in Grades 5 to 7 the opportunity to showcase their public speaking and logical reasoning abilities in a formal interhouse setting.

Working in teams, students will research, plan, and present arguments on a variety of relevant and age-appropriate topics. Judges will assess clarity, evidence, delivery, and teamwork, while the audience learns and engages in thought-provoking issues.

Beyond the competition, the event helps build communication skills, confidence, and respectful dialogue – skills that support success in and out of the classroom.
