Mrs Chipo Mwansa
Trustee
Mrs. Chipo Mwansa is a founding trustee of Nkhwazi Primary School and brings over 30 years of experience in the education sector. She began her career as a classroom teacher before advancing to curriculum advisor roles within the Ministry of Education. Her work has focused on early literacy development and teacher training initiatives.
As a trustee, Mrs. Mwansa provides strategic oversight on curriculum relevance and helps guide school leadership in ensuring academic excellence. She is passionate about nurturing foundational skills and advocates for inclusive and engaging classroom environments.

Dr Ashwin Kumar
Trustee
Dr. Ashwin Kumar is a paediatrician and public health specialist who serves as a trustee with a focus on learner wellness and safety. With years of experience in child health, he brings vital expertise in school health policy, safeguarding, and emotional wellbeing.
He advises Nkhwazi’s leadership on matters of child protection, school health screenings, and psychosocial support structures. Dr. Zulu is also instrumental in building partnerships with health service providers and in promoting a holistic view of student success—one that includes physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.

Mr Kelvin Lungu
Trustee
Mr. Kelvin Lungu is a seasoned finance professional and trustee dedicated to building transparent and sustainable education institutions. With a background in accounting and nonprofit governance, he advises the Nkhwazi board on financial planning, policy, and accountability.
Mr. Lungu has previously served on the boards of several educational and child development organisations. At Nkhwazi, he champions responsible budgeting, infrastructure investment, and long-term financial planning to ensure the school continues to thrive for future generations.

Mrs Linda Banda
Trustee
Ms. Linda Banda is a trustee with a strong background in cultural programming and community arts. A former museum curator and arts educator, she brings creativity and community spirit to her role at Nkhwazi Primary School.
She works closely with staff to support initiatives that expose learners to music, theatre, and visual arts, and is a driving force behind the school’s annual cultural events and creative clubs. Ms. Banda believes the arts play a vital role in child development, self-expression, and cultural identity.
